Committees


RHA has committees which are in charge of certain tasks. These standing committees are chaired by different executive board members. RHA also recognizes other meetings, committees, and teams within housing, and hears reports from each at quorum meeting.

Housing Advisory Panel (HAP)

  • The Vice President of Student Affairs chairs this committee.
  • Members shall consist of Hall Government Vice Presidents and Floor Representatives of each hall.
  • Responsibilities consist of facilitating monthly town hall meetings, bi-monthly HAP meetings and planning advocacy programs throughout the year (1 per month)

Programming Board

  • The Vice President of Programming chairs this committee.
  • Members shall consist of Hall Government Historians and Publicity Officers.
  • Responsibilities consist of planning social and educational programs (1 each per month)
  • The Programming Board shall be divided into the following two sub-committee:

a. Social Programming Sub-Committee

b. Educational Programming Sub-Committee

Constitutional Review Board (CRB)

  • The RHA President chairs this committee.
  • Members shall consist of Hall Government Presidents and Vice Presidents and any other members of the Organization that wish to attend.
  • Responsibilities consist of assisting in the revision of this Constitution and presenting revisions and rationale to the RHA Quorum for voting.

President’s Council

  • The President chairs this committee.
  • Members shall consist of all Hall Government Presidents.
  • Responsibilities consist of attending bi-monthly meetings; discussion on the development of HGs and RHA; and planning at least two active programs each semester (programs shall be large scale, social and interbuilding collaborative) for the housing community and RHA members.

Finance Committee

  • This committee is chaired by the Vice President of Finance.
  • Members shall consist of Hall Government Treasurers.
  • Responsibilities consists of reviewing RHA Money Requests, making recommendations to the RHA Quorum for requests over $500.01 and planning all fund raising programs as needed.

Helping Our Planet Earth (HOPE) Committee

  • The Secretary chairs this committee.
  • Members shall consist of Hall Government Secretaries.
  • Responsibilities consists of creating a monthly newsletter, promoting sustainability awareness, and sustainability programming (1per month)
