Justin Cooper | President
Business Finance Major

Get involved and make a difference. Many people just go to class and stick to their dorm rooms their entire college career; however, I encourage everyone to get out and get involved with something that you are interested in to make this experience as great as it possibly could be.
I am originally from the Sacramento area and I transferred last year to San Jose State. This is my second year living in the residents halls. Last year I served as the President of CVB and I am looking forward to seeing what exciting things can happen this year. I attend Westgate Christian Church in Saratoga and am highly active there as well. I also have been dating my girlfriend Ellie for the past two years and enjoy spending time with her (she is an RA on the 5th floor of CVB). I work at Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria as a Restaurant Supervisor on Santa Clara Street and have been with that restaurant for about a year now.

With my work as President of CVB, I enjoyed getting involved in our community and making a difference in people’s lives. I felt like RHA would be the next step in that journey and would allow me to take my influence to the next level.

I really enjoy meeting new people and learning about their lives and what makes them unique. One of my main goals this semester is to learn more about the people that I live with. Ultimately, I would like to know every resident and be on a first name basis with each one of the 3,000 of them. I also would like to look into some of the issues that residents are unhappy about and make the necessary changes with those.

I am available to anyone should you need contact me at: cooper289@gmail.com
Feel free to email me with comments, concerns, suggestions, or simply if you would like to know how to get involved.

“But tomorrow may rain, so I’ll follow the sun”-The Beatles

I grew up in Southern California in a small town called Yucaipa. I enjoy reading, singing, traveling, painting and listening to music among other things.  I am a second year at San Jose State. I am studying social work with a minor in Spanish. I enjoy getting involved and meeting new people. I had an amazing freshmen year serving as Joe West hall President, working as a student ambassador and making a lot of new friends. I am extremely excited to see what this coming year has to bring.

“We all are filled with great potential–go out and make the best of it and do it better than you think you can.”

This is my 4th year at San Jose State University. I started out as the Vice President of Washburn Hall in 2005 which became my stepping stone to where I am at now. After that, I became an Resident Advisor for two years: Royce Hall in 2006-2007 and Joe West Hall in 2007-2008. I also became a Front Office Assistant and Graphic Designer at A.S. Computer Services Center in 2007-2008. And now, I am your RHA Secretary and also A.S. Director of Communications. My passion is to serve San Jose State and I hope to continue that throughout the rest of my year(s) here. As RHA Secretary, I hope to reach out to all the residents on campus by providing the information of all our programs and events we have to offer through a variety of publicity methods.

“One person can make a difference and everyone should try.” JFK

Stephanie is originally from Temple City, CA and earned her BA from San
Diego State University in Speech Communication. She earned a MS in
Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University (Go Orange!)
and worked for residential life at the University of Massachusetts
Amherst for three years. Stephanie has just completed her first year at
SJSU and is proud to work with such fantabulous student leaders!

I wanted to advise RHA because SJSU Housing has some of the most
motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic student leaders I’ve ever seen.
They provide tremendous service to SJSU residents and offer outstanding
leadership opportunities and incentives. I also enjoy guiding and
supporting student leaders who exceed their leadership potential!
