Justin Cooper | RHA President
Business Finance Major

Get involved and make a difference. Many people just go to class and stick to their dorm rooms their entire college career; however, I encourage everyone to get out and get involved with something that you are interested in to make this experience as great as it possibly could be.
I am originally from the Sacramento area and I transferred last year to San Jose State. This is my second year living in the residents halls. Last year I served as the President of CVB and I am looking forward to seeing what exciting things can happen this year. I attend Westgate Christian Church in Saratoga and am highly active there as well. I also have been dating my girlfriend Ellie for the past two years and enjoy spending time with her (she is an RA on the 5th floor of CVB). I work at Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria as a Restaurant Supervisor on Santa Clara Street and have been with that restaurant for about a year now.

With my work as President of CVB, I enjoyed getting involved in our community and making a difference in people’s lives. I felt like RHA would be the next step in that journey and would allow me to take my influence to the next level.

I really enjoy meeting new people and learning about their lives and what makes them unique. One of my main goals this semester is to learn more about the people that I live with. Ultimately, I would like to know every resident and be on a first name basis with each one of the 3,000 of them. I also would like to look into some of the issues that residents are unhappy about and make the necessary changes with those.

I am available to anyone should you need contact me at: cooper289@gmail.com
Feel free to email me with comments, concerns, suggestions, or simply if you would like to know how to get involved.

My name is Alanna Mancebo. I am majoring in Child and Adolescent Development preparation for teaching K-8. My dream job would be a kindergarten teacher. I love meeting new people and learning new things. This is my second year at San Jose State and I have never been happier. This year I decided to get involved and started the year off as the CVB Secretary. While that was a wonderful job I found the opportunity to join RHA too good to pass up and this semester I am serving as the Vice President of Students. I am very excited about this up and coming adventure and can’t wait for it to begin.

“ Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.” - Anais Nin

I was born and raised in New York and I moved to the small town of Tracy back in 2005.  This is my first year living on campus and to get the most out of this experience I decided to join RHA.  I love to meet new people because everyone you encounter in your life is unique in their own way and they bring to your life an additional perspective.  I have made it a point in my life to walk away with a valuable lesson or piece of knowledge from every experience and every person I meet.  Being a part of RHA is a great way for me to leave San Jose State University with a fresh and diverse perspective of life.  I look forward to meeting and working with you all.
